Two items: Original segment of netting and Beta cloth material, 1.5 x 1, used on the Lunar Module Aquarius; and a triangular-shaped original segment of Armalon material 1.25 x .5, part of the Command Module Odyssey. Both artifacts went around the moon during the memorable Apollo 13 mission in 1970. Each piece is individually affixed to an 8 x 10 explanatory sheet signed in blue ink, “Fred W. Haise.” The letters note the Armalon material was removed from Odyssey’s couch frames while the netting and Beta cloth was cut from the lunar module Aquarius. The remnants were presented as tokens of appreciation to key support personnel, with Haise using this remaining material to raise funds to support the non-profit Infinity, Inc. and efforts to construct a new science and visitor center at the NASA Stennis Space center in his home state of Mississippi. In fine condition. A rare chance to acquire relics from both command and lunar modules of the ill-fated Apollo 13 mission.
