Two lunar map segments, 1˝ x 1.25˝ and 1.5 x 1˝, both attested to as being flown into lunar orbit as part of the Apollo 13 and Apollo 15 missions, respectively. Both segments are affixed to individual 8.5 x 11 certificates of authenticity prepared and signed by aerospace memorabilia specialist Ken Havekotte. The Apollo 13 certificate, which identifies the segment as #36C of 36, states that it was removed from the “LM Lunar Surface Maps” book that, after the flight, was presented to NASA lunar graphics book manager George M. Colton by the Apollo 13 crew at a return ceremony. After keeping it for 43 years, Colton sold the book at auction in 2013. The Apollo 15 certificate, which identifies the segment as #36 of 75, states that it was detached from one of the 21 map plates that were part of the Apollo 15 Lunar Contingency Chart and stored inside the CM’s R3 stowage location. Per the certificate, all of the Lunar Contingency Chart pages were from the personal collection of Apollo 15 moonwalker Dave Scott. In overall fine condition.
