Small .5˝ x .25˝ segment of 70mm film attested to being flown into lunar orbit during the Apollo 13 mission and deriving from the personal collection of NASA technician Richard Underwood, who worked in the Johnson Space Center’s Photographic Technology Laboratory for over two decades. The segment is affixed to a commemorative cover with an Apollo 13 cachet, signed in black ink, “It was a big bang and change in plans! Fred Haise, Apollo 13 LMP,” and in blue ink by Sandy Clarkson of The Right Stuff Space, who writes: “Apollo 13 Mag R Flown 70mm Film.” Reverse of envelope is numbered 4/30. In fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Clarkson. Underwood was responsible for developing the Apollo photographs—in fact, he was the first person to view every photograph from the Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, Apollo-Soyuz, and the first 23 space shuttle missions.
