Jack Swigert personally owned NASA pilot's mustard-colored flight jacket. Two days after Apollo 13's launch on 11 April 1970, an oxygen tank exploded and the crew was forced to abandon the mission and fly back to Earth in the dangerously compromised spacecraft. Jacket features a NASA patch to right side of chest and black Velcro patch measuring 4'' x 2'' to left. Original ''Flite Gear by Port Echo / Mt. Sinai, N.Y.'' tag is sewn to inside of left pocket. Jacket measures 18.5'' shoulder to shoulder x 25''. Near fine to fine condition. With an LOA from Swigert's sister.
