Original 17.5 x 14.5 painting of the Apollo 12 crew by NASA staff artist Raymond Bruneau, signed and dated in the lower right. "R. Bruneau, Nov. 69." The lifelike artwork vividly portrays Alan Bean, Charles Conrad, and Richard Gordon in their white space suits. Framed to an overall size of 21.5 x 18.75. In fine condition.

With just partial use of his arms and the paralysis of his hands at birth, Bruneau overcame physical difficulties to become an accomplished artist with an unusual technique: wedging a brush into his frozen hand, he was able to steady it with his open hand and use his body to effect motion as he painted. He worked as a NASA artist for 28 years, three at Langley and the rest at the then-new Johnson Space Center in Houston, beginning in 1962.
