Collection of vintage contractor press material related to Apollo missions 12 and 14. The Apollo 12 section includes: a Catalytic–Dow joint venture Apollo 12 press kit from November 14, 1969; a 7-page Westinghouse press release for a “compact television camera” used on the lunar surface by the Apollo 12 crew; a Ryan Aeronautical Company publicity package for the Ryan Lunar Landing Radar; a Grumman Aerospace Corporation press packet and envelope; and a 3MCompany publicity package related to Thermoelectric Generator Development. The Apollo 15 section includes: a Delco Electronics-General Motors mission booklet; a TRW flight data and space benefits notebook; a Boeing press booklet for the “Lunar Roving Vehicle”; a Fairchild Camera and Instrument press package for the Lunar Mapping Camera; a pair of Space Photos Apollo 15 photo packets, each featuring eight color and four black-and-white photos; a Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce packet from July–August 1971, entitled “Benefits of the Space Program”; a Lockheed Electronics Company press folder; a Philco–Ford Corporation press folder; an Itek technical bulletin for the Optical Bar Panoramic Camera; a set of three Itek press releases; and an RCA press folder relating to the “Coherent Synthetic Aperture Radar.” Also includes various material related to Apollo missions 9, 10, 14, and 17. In overall very good to fine condition.
