Official ring-bound 8.5 x 11.5 NASA “Quarters Copy” lunar module manual used in training by astronauts Alan Bean and Charles Conrad prior to their moon-landing Apollo 12 mission, signed and certified on the front cover in black felt tip, “Pete and I used this systems book as we trained for our Apollo 12 mission in November of 1969. Alan Bean, Lunar Module Pilot.” The front cover of the manual is marked “26” and bears an affixed parts label: “Apollo 12, LM Systems Data, Quarters Copy, SKB32100075–385.” After the first two dual-sided pages, which consist of detailed criteria tables, the majority of the manual is comprised of numerous foldout schematics, many of which are identified by tape-affixed tabs; these include: “CB” [Circuit Breaker] functions, “Pyrotechnic System,” “Elec. DC [Direct Current] Power,” “SCS [Stabilization and Control System] Overview,” “Descent Engine Signal Flow,” system schematics for “Prop. Ascent” and “Descent,” “EMU [Extravehicular Mobility Unit] Detail Schem,” and oxygen usage graphs for “LM Ascent” and “Descent.” Several pages are numbered or dated in black ink. In fine condition, with some rust marks to cover, and some wear to pages from use.
