<Our item number 139816><B>Apollo 12, 1969, Command Module &#34;Balloon&#34; Sample.</B> &#40;1x.25&#34;&#41; This bicolor piece of plastic balloon material is a sample of the material used in one of the three balloons that were activated upon ocean landing to insure that the Command Module didn&#39;t &#34;flip&#34; upside down due to rough seas. A similar system was used for all Apollo and Skylab landings. Mounted on an AVD Services multicolor presentation card &#40;11x14&#34;&#41;, this is the first time we have seen this attractive piece of memorabilia.
