One-of-a-kind original NASA Apollo 11 Guest Center directional sign. Off-white sign with blue lettering measures 36 x 12 and was used to direct VIP guests to the Guest Center for the launch of the first manned moon mission. Sign has been signed in blue or black felt tip by six major participants of the Apollo 11 team: “Charlie Duke, Apollo 16 LMP, Apollo 11 Capcom,” “Fred Haise BU Apollo 11 LMP,” “Bill Pogue, Support Crew Apollo 11,” “Guenter F. Wendt, Padleader, AS-506,” “Ron Woods, Suit Tech for LMP Aldrin Apollo 11,” and “July 16, 1969, ‘10, 9, Ignition Sequence Start, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0, All engines running. Liftoff! We have a liftoff, 32 minutes past the hour. Liftoff Apollo 11.’ Jack King, ‘Voice of Apollo.’” In fine condition, with some scattered mild soiling and surface wear, and a single screw hole to top and bottom edge. A remarkably singular item signed by several key contributors to the success of man’s first lunar landing.
