Exceedingly rare oversized FDC entitled “Man Walks on the Moon,” 10.5 x 8, postmarked July 20, 1969, the date of the Apollo 11 moon landing, and September 9, 1969, the issue date for the jumbo-sized commemorative "First Man on the Moon" stamp, which is affixed to the right corner, signed in black ballpoint, “Neil Armstrong,” in blue ink, “Buzz Aldrin,” and in black ballpoint, “M. Collins.” The cover commemorates three of the mission’s landmark ‘firsts,’ and features text excerpts of a President Kennedy speech on May 25, 1961, and both Aldrin and Collins’s space telecasts on July 23, 1969. Archivally matted and framed to an overall size of 18 x 15.75. In fine condition, with a light crease to the lower right corner.
