<B></B></I> <B>Apollo 11 Awareness Medallion.</B></I> Aldrin facing the U.S. flag on the lunar surface is on the front. On the verso is engraved "<I>This Medallion contains metal from spacecrafts Columbia and Eagle, that took Astronauts Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins on their historic Apollo 11 mission that resulted in the first landing of man on the moon.</B></I>" Added to the metal in this medallion was a portion of a stainless steel heat shield bolt from the Columbia Command Module Columbia and a box clip used in hoisting the box of moon rocks aboard the Lunar Module Eagle. The medallion is housed in the original 6.75" x 5" folder issued by NASA. Light soiling on the booklet, but the coin is mint. <I>From the collection of renowned former physical trainer of the astronauts Joe Garino.
