This is from the Apache Native American Indians and features an excellent Indian tanned hide and polychrome mineral painted Warrior's shirt. The piece is from the 19th Century and is an exceptional museum quality shirt. The shirt shows cut fringe running from the shirt cuff along the entire bottom edge and a long fringe section along the center of the chest and back. The shirt has a punched hole design throughout and polychrome mineral painted geometric design in blue, yellow, red. The center of the chest and back shows a cut round medallion with blue and red early 19th century trade clothe. Provenance: This is from a large Early Native American Indian private collection in Paris, France. This is a fantastic early piece. The war shirt measures 28.5“H x 62“L across the arms.
