Esteemed Czech composer (1841–1904) of orchestral and chamber music, best known for his Symphony No. 9, ‘From the New World.’ Rare AMQS on an off-white 5.75 x 3.75 gilt-edged card. Dvorak pens seven bars of music from the first movement of his Piano Quartet No. 2 in A Major, Op. 81, boldly signed below, “Antonin Dvorak,” and dated March 25, 1896. In fine to very fine condition. The quintet is acknowledged as one of the masterpieces in the form.
