French poet and writer (1900–1944) and pioneering aviator known for the classic book The Little Prince. While flying for the Free French Air Force in North Africa during World War II, he disappeared over the Mediterranean. Interesting manuscript consisting of handwritten mathematical expressions and notes, unsigned, one onionskin page, 8.25 x 10.5, no date. Saint-Exupery pens a variety of mathematical expressions, writing some notes in between. Intersecting folds, staple holes to the upper left, and a few small edge tears to the thin paper, otherwise fine condition. Saint-Exupery loved mathematical enigmas and riddles, and possessed superior skills in the subject, making this an especially desirable piece.
