Maybe owned by a Nazi ? - this Antique collectible pocket watch with key, as is as we never tried it, and please consider the hand written ink note as provenance: "This watch was left in a drawer of a house I had rented, tenant was Gordon Leach relative of Walter Knop the Champion Shot Put - there was no hands, no glass or key; left without paying rent to A. Gairdaver (? I can not read the name on this note) the owner 1938 and, (it was after) repaired by Ed. Richardson 1949"; without glass cover and with the back one and this key, consider it very old indeed and with this small paper too!

Life Walter Knop (* 17 August 1906 in Boffzen ; † 1991 in Hildesheim ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).
After attending elementary school in Boffzen and the King Wilhelm-Gymnasium Hoxter Knop studied law and political science at the University of Göttingen . In 1926 he became a member of the Corps Hildeso-Guestphalia Göttingen . [1]
Like his brothers August Knop and Wilhelm Knop Knop Walter committed itself since 1926, the NSDAP. In the spring of 1929, he passed the state examination from. From 1929 to 1932 preparatory service, he came around 1933 as a junior barrister at Brunswick Local Court and the public prosecutor. On October 1, 1933 Knop came to the board of the district court Greene . With effect from 1 March 1934 he was appointed district judge. End of 1934, Knop was granted leave to act as a judge of the Supreme Court of the NSDAP party can. On January 1, 1936, he was appointed Chairman of the First Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Nazi Party.
From March 1936 until the collapse of the German Reich 1933-1945 Knop sat as MP for the constituency 17 (Westfalen Nord) in the Reichstag . In the post-war period Knop lived as a district judge in Seesen .
