Antique composite dagger made with a blade from a Spanish plug bayonet, 9” blade, 14” overall with nicely turned hardwood grip andiron cross guard. The blade shows scattered erosion and some light surface rust that likely came from the daggerbeing housed in its period leather sheath. The grip is in good condition, the blade complete and the scabbard is overall good with a decorative leather flap at the throat and missing tip. Est.: $800-$1,600.
