Antique Wm. W. Marston 3-Barrel Top-Break Single Action Spurtrigger Pistol, #801, .32 RF cal., unmarked 4" vertical barrel group; brass frame marked "Wm. M. Marston/Patented/May 26, 1857/New York City" in oval over "Improved 1864" at left side, swivel barrel release at top, bottom front hinge, right-side extractor and barrel selector marked "0/1/2/3", central hammer, integral spurtrigger sheath and gripstraps, varnished 2-pc. walnut grips. Mfg'd ca. 1864-72, just 3,300 qty. Condition is good retaining no original finishes, the barrels being gunmetal gray with scattered discoloration, the brass showing light age-toning. Grips with shrinkage and a half-inch sliver out at right panel, no finish. Barrel lockup is tight, hinge secure, edges and markings sharp. Action is crisp, bores show moderate erosion (heavier at muzzles), good rifling. Quite rare with this 4" barrel group. Est.: $750-$1,000. (Antique)
