Serial Number: 156436
Condition: Very good. The carbine shows strong original finish in protected areas and streaks on the barrel, with a mottled brown patina on the balance. There are a few minor dings on the edge of the loading port and some minor spotting on the receiver. The buttplate has a smooth mottled grayish brown patina. The wood is also good with overall scattered minor dings, dents and scratches. The markings are crisp and clear ( the 1 in the serial number resembles the letter L, which is correct for this serial number range). Mechanically good. These smooth bore lever action Winchesters are desirable in any condition.
