Tribe Kungrad culture rendered a great influence to Uzbek Applied Art. There were very many of Nomad decorative articles which became very popular for yurt decoration. Most of Nomad articles have been made from wool and used as decorations for Nomad yurts. One of the most popular of Nomad articles are Tent Bands, the interior of the Tent Bands contain many different designs. Old tent bands, made with a combination of knotted pile and plain weave, have some unusual features that no one has discussed in rug literature. Because band techniques are so widely misunderstood. This one item is an Uzbek Wool woven Nomad Tent Band, which was used to reinforce the vertical sidewalls of the felt tent and as a decoration for yurts.
