<td width="100%">
Tiffany antique sterling silver slicer-server in the original 1869 sterling pattern first named "Tiffany". This elegant design was the first flatware ever made by Tiffany, pat. in 1869, and is illustrated Fig. 125 in the definitive book, TIFFANY SILVER by Carpenter, who states it was re-issued as "Beekman" without knobs on the handle in 1956. This piece HAS the knobs on the handle, as shown in closeups, which denotes early production. Its Tiffany mark also includes the M used on early production. Though made as a fish slicer-server, it is useful also for serving pie, cake, or ice cream rolls. One edge of the blade is sharp, the other curves upward to hold in contents. 9-1/2" L. Perfect condition, from private estate.
