<td width="100%">
Giant antique Tibetan ritual conch shell trumpet, covered with a heavy layer of hammered silver (probably more than 60% of the weight) and inlaid with coral and turquoise. This is a master silversmith work of art with chiseled details in relief and with additional inlays of carved turquoise and coral. The center of the shell features 4 crossed dorje (vajra) with inlays of coral and turquoise, a dragon and circular form ornaments as endless knot, etc. The wide opening of the shell is decorated with chiseled silver featuring a gargoyle and 4 animals resembling sheep, or goats. The entire surface of the chiseled silver is decorated with animals, flowers, Buddhist symbols, etc., inlaid with coral and turquoise. This is an extremely rare Tibetan antique art work of monumental proportions and very heavy. It has numerous areas of depressions in the silver cover, missing some small inlays and the end was re-attached. Length: 34.5" (88 cm.). Maximum width: 13" (33 cm.).
