This Model 1878 is chambered in 10.4mm Swiss. Designed specifically for a centerfire cartridge. It uses the mechanical system know as the Warnant system with a rebounding hammer modified by Lieutenant-Colonel Rudolf Schmidt. They were manufactured in Switzerland by Waffenfabrik Bern.
Overall condition is 9.5/10.
Bore is shiny and bright with like new rifling. Original blueing is like new besides some very small scratches. Original grips are in excellent original condition. Lock up is tight like new. The revolver indexes as indented and works flawlessly in single and double action.
