This is a model 1884 Springfield trapdoor rifle .45–70 caliber. It was made in approximately 1889 and is all original. Condition would be considered good, but not very good, fine or excellent. This rifle has seen some use! It is rare to find one with the original US bayonet. Is also marked US on the butt plate. Since this rifle was made prior to 1899, there is no FFL paperwork necessary. Local pickup, or buyer will need to call us after the auction to arrange for the rifle to be shipped according to their state laws.
