<td width="100%">
This is a RARE beautiful example of a VERY ORNATE, EARLY Silver Bon Bon, or Pea, Berry, ect. Spoon. It features a rare pictorial in the center area of two people dancing, with VERY elaborate design work completly surrounding the entire spoon. Up the handle & at the top, features what I can only describe as an early form of a cupid type figure role, playing a flute for the two courting people. He seems to be unclothed, & hairless,(?), and has deep set eyes. Truely a wonderful find. The reverse is a little worn in areas from age, & unfortunatly, this makes the manufacturs' mark impossible to read, (at least by me). One can see the hand forging of this magnificant piece throughout the basin. The piece has a marvoulus patina that I've not even thought about cleaning. It has come from the estate of a family friend that passed away about 5 years ago. She was 86 years old. Thank you for viewing this RARE & unique piece, & GOOD LUCK to all of the bidders!!
