What a Treasure!

You are viewing an English Tudor Style Oak / Tiger Oak Sideboard Buffet crafted in the Early 1900?s.

This distinguished Sideboard is truly a work of art! Starting at the top of the piece: the cornice is wonderfully carved, drawing the eye to its detail. The baluster is a beautifully turned column. The carving on the drawer fronts of the top row of drawers accent those on the cornice and adds depth to the piece. The drawer construction is made sturdy with dovetailing. Below the drawers are a pair of cabinet doors flanking a glass display case and two additional dovetailed drawers. Inside each of the cabinet doors is a wooden shelf. Below the shelving and drawers are the gorgeously carved feet. The handles to the cabinet doors and drawers are the original hardware, except for one handle which is only slightly different from the others. The patina of this piece is gorgeous, having a slight distressing on the edges like many try to do to their new furniture to give it the wonderful vintage look that comes naturally from beautiful antiques like this one. There is a wood separation below the bottom left cabinet shelf, which is common in vintage pieces. other: 35 3/4 Counter Top Height
