Antique Smith & Wesson No. 1 2nd Issue Single Action Spurtrigger Revolver, #87033, .22 Short RF cal., 3-3/16'' tip-up octagonal barrel with nickel silver sight blade, marked with maker's name and address on top rib, has upper hinge with notched rear sight on cylinder stop and projecting bottom latch; 7-shot round cylinder has 1855-59-60 patent dates on its circumference; solid frame has a central hammer, integral spurtrigger sheath and flat-bottom gripstraps; two-piece varnished rosewood grips. Mfg'd ca. 1860-68, originally with blued barrel and cylinder and silver-plated frame. Condition is very good+. Barrel and cylinder retain traces of blue with a smooth gunmetal tone; frame shows 80% tarnished silver. Grips are smooth and fit well with most original glossy finish. Action is strong and smooth; bore is bright with sharp rifling; barrel hinge and latch are secure; all edges and markings are sharp. Est.: $500-$750. (Antique)*
