<td width="100%">
Russian-cut crystal beerstein from the 19th century.
In the pewter lid is a memory-coin.
On the top it says: Georg Friedrich Burggraf v. Kirschberg Graf zu Sayn und Witgenstein Herr zu Farnroda.
Under it says [the coin is welded in the lid] GEBOHREN [borned] 3 MART [then something I can not see ] VERMAEHLT [maybe married] 170, and then I can not see the number, and after that," SEELIG VERSTORBEN DEN 14 AUGUSTUS 1749 [died 14 august 1749 and seelig means something like blissful.
the stein is [without the lid] 13.8 centimeter [5.43 inches] high and the diameter of the bottom is 8.5 centimeter [3.34 inches].
You can see at the bottom, that it has been used, but still., there are no cracks in or chips off.
It needs a little cleaning inside, but I did not want to move any D.N.A. of a son of a burggraf.
If you type : Burggraf v. Kirschberg Graf zu sayn und Witgenstein Herr zu Farnroda' on Google you get a little story about, maybe his son.
