Description: For your consideration, we offer for sale this antique Remington Pistol in .44 cal. with a brown leather, US marked holster. This appears to be a model 1875, but the ejector rod housing is gone and the barrel markings are hard to see and illegible. The Remington Single Action Army (a.k.a. Improved Army or Frontier Army) was introduced to compete with the Colt Single Action. The holster is stamped 1917 and the inspector’s initials, A.G.. Maker: Remington on the pistol. Approx. Age: Circa late 1800s on the pistol. The holster is dated 1917. Size: Barrel measures 4-3/4” with an overall length of 12”. Holster measures 5”w x 11-1/2” long. Condition: Fair for it age on the holster, poor on the pistol, wear expected and the ejector rod and its housing are gone.
