Antique Purple Glass Assortment. 2 whiskey pint bottles; a rare 1910's vintage Marvelous Cold Cream jar from Richard Hudnut, New York'' embossed on the front and in the tin lid. Approximately 3 1/2 inches in height and is a square shape. Other assorted bottles and two stoppers. Small amounts of manganese dioxide was used as a decolorizer to offset the iron impurities present in virtually all sands. The colorless glass will turned amethyst upon long term exposure to sunlight. With larger concentrations of these substances in the glass batch amethyst to purple glass is purposefully created (Jones & Sullivan 1989).

Also preview of Off Line & On Line auction will start at 8am Sunday Morning. Off Line Sale starts at 9am and ends at 10am. On line sale starts at 10am MST.
