Large 19th. century large Japanese cloisonne vase dating to Meiji period. Wonderful decorations with dragon and bird resembling a rooster that are enclosed in 4 panels, respectively, 2 panels for each. The panels are in lance shape with a gold background for the dragon. The representation of the dragon is humoresque, as it appears smiling, The rooster is on a green panel speckled with gold and also appears humoresque with an open beak and ruffled feathers. Estimated value: $1500.
