Description: Available for your bidding pleasure is this historical knife with Francisco “Pancho” Villa’s birth name engraved on it and also in gold gilded letters on the top of the presentation box that goes with it! Pancho Villa’s real name was Doroteo Arango. He started using an alias while on the run from Federales during his years as a bandit—before he became the famous Mexican Revolutionary leader the world knows of today. This knife has come down through a well-known collection where other Pancho Villa items have also been documented and sold over the years. Supporting documentation and a magazine article on the history is included (a copy can be emailed on request). This bowie style knife, with presentation box, is being sold as a donation to support 2 victims from the incident at the Gilroy Garlic festival on 7-28-19. Someone will win this special knife with historical significance while supporting a good cause! It could be you! Maker: The knife is not hallmarked, but it is hand-forged. The box is also handmade. Both items were made by skilled tradesman. Approx. Age: Circa late 1800s or early 1900s. Size: The knife is just over 10” long with just under a 6” blade. The box measures 15 1/2” long and 5” wide. Condition: Good for its age, normal wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures - they are an important part of our description. Shipping: There will be a $10 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot. The actual cost of postage will be added on top of that.

Firearms: Any person(s) bidding on firearms in our auction are required to be at least 18 years of age for long guns and 21 years of age for hand guns. Western Trading Post llc. is a licensed and practicing Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealer. Any Bidders who desire to bid on and purchase any firearms in our auctions cannot have been convicted of a felony, have any restraining orders, or have any reason that they would not pass a NICS FFL Background Check. Western Trading Post llc. reserves the right to run a NICS FFL Background check on any purchaser of firearms. If the Bidder is a resident of the state of Arizona, they may pick up in person once cleared by the NICS FFL Background check. Otherwise, firearms will be shipped to a Federal Firearm Licensed Dealer of your choosing nearest your residence. The Buyer agrees to pay for any and all shipping/handling/fees/etc. necessary for the shipping and transfer of any firearms. Antique firearms and black powder replica which are exempted from NICS FFL background checks can be transferred directly to the purchaser (where legal to do so).
