19th. century Japanese porcelain screen Hirado ware, with 3 cylinder container in the front, most likely used to hold 3 calligraphy brushes. It features a seated woman holding a fan. The reverse side features a running Oni holding his horns. A "Greek key" pattern decorates the edge and applique scrolls are on the sides and bottom of the screen. The bottom holder has floral design decorations. The left bottom holder portion was repaired and glued, rather unnoticeable. If intact, the price would be above $1000.
