<td width="100%">
This item was purchased at the sale of the effects of a Russian family and was attributed to the old Russia of the latter half of the 19th century.We cannot however find any usual Fabrika signs.

It is an enormous copper kettle being able to hold probably more than a gallon of water. From the base to the top it measures 10 inches (25 cm), and across it measures 10 inches (25 cm).The handle too is metal and swings, reinforcved with shaped wood-also insulating the hand from the hot metal. With the handle raised the kettle is roughly 14 inches high.

Please note this item requires cleaning. I polished the top but have done nothing more. It has an old solder repair around the base of the spout, but apart from this is relatively unscathed from well over a a 140 odd years of life.
It must have hung over an open fire as the base is black.
