Rare sterling silver gilt Challenge Cup, inscribed: ?CHALLENGE CUP PRESENTED BY HIS EXCELLENCY The Lord Byng of Vimy G.C.B GAWERNOR GENERAL OF CANADA TO DORVAL JOCKEY CLUB 1922?. On the other side is beautifully engraved coat of arms .The trophy is English made and stamped with London marks: leopard?s head, lion passant, manufacture mark and date letter what correspond to 1904-5. Cup stands about 7 ½ inches(19cm) tall and is about 9.5inches(24cm) across the handles and about 10 ¼ inches(26cm) diameter. Weight is about 745 grams. The cup is in good condition.
