Antique Hopkins & Allen “Czar” Model spur trigger revolver, #7538, cased with little pearl scaled pocket knife and copy of Lee Silva’s Volume II, Part I book Wyatt Earp, A Biography of The Legend. This gun is in overall very good condition withperiod engraving, approx. 60% original nickel finish on barrel and frame with approx. 75% gold wash on the cylinder, .22 cal., 3-1/2” octagon barrel, checkered black hard rubber grips that are in very good condition with the right gripslightly browned from exposure to sunlight. The casing is in overall very good condition with an un-inscribed brass plaque in the lid, key hole escutcheon cover plate is missing; the purple lining of the interior is overall good with alittle fraying of the lid material but not affecting the gold-colored maker’s emblem; the little pearl scaled pocket knife is in very good condition with iridescent scales and two blades, one maker marked “John Watt, Sheffield, England”. The book accompanying this lot’s author, Lee Silva, is recognized as one of the leading authorities on Wyatt Earp and has been compiling a series of books on his decades of research on the subject.
