Antique Henry K. Wampole & Co. Inc. Glass Bottle, ca.1920s, Medicine Bottle, Embossed, measures 8 3/8''H x 3''W x 2''Deep, FYI: ''Henry K Wampole & Company was started in the early 1870s in Philadelphia. In 1880 they first offered to the medical profession the preparation of an Extract of Cod Liver. The business was extended into Canada in 1905. A large and well-equipped laboratory was built at Perth, Ontario. Albert Koch and Samuel Ross Campbell joined Wampole in the business in early 1878. The company was acquired by the Denver Chemical Mfg. Co. in September 1957. Wampole met a sad end. From his Obituary: ''The body of H. K. Wampole, head of the firm of Henry K. Wampole & Co., of Philadelphia, was found floating in the North River off Weehawken on Friday, September 14.''
