Masterfully hand crafted, in oval form French silver open salt cellar from the renowned Cardeilhac; Parisian master silversmith Ernest Cardeilhac with the French Minerve 950 mark. Striking repoussed garlands with interlaced floral swags held by ribbons at each border and minute bead work standing on four ball and claw feet. Original cobalt glass liner, very nice feel and weight to each. The hand chased detail remains sharp and well defined. Well struck hallmarks to bottom and rim as shown, the Minerve Hallmark for 950 sterling and makers mark Cardeilhac. Measures 2 1/2" wide by 1 1/2" tall.
