Here is a fabulous cur glass decanter! The decanter has cut glass at the waist of parallel vertical lines. It has a faceted shoulder that leads to the neck, which is decorated, with three graduated circles. The decorative stopper is cut with parallel vertical lines also with a smooth ground top. It measures 8 ½?tall. It is in very good condition except for a small chip to the rim of the decanter ? which is common when an item like this is often used. This would make the perfect present! I was very excited about acquiring a good amount of antiques from the Woolworth Family and I?m happy to present them to you. Here is a little history of the Woolworth Family: During the late 19th and early 20th Century the Woolworth Department Stores were one of the most famous names in department stores both here and in Europe. Everyone growing up remembers the Woolworth Five & Dime store in their town. In the early 20th century, one branch of the Woolworth family came to Maine and acquired hundreds of acres of land on beautiful Cobbossee Lake in Monmouth, Maine. Over the years, the compound has grown to approximately twenty-six buildings, some of which were filled with antiques collected all over the world and with a discerning eye.
