<td width="100%">
We offer a very interesting 1800's/early 1900's Art Nouveau style oil lamp. The lamp was converted to electric some time ago and they put the on/off switch where the cap to the font was, So unfortunately there are no markings as to the maker. There may be a mark at the bottom of the font, But I didn't want to take the lamp apart. This looks to be very original, as the shade and chimney are of the correct period. The shade is frosted with a cut to clear grape and leaf pattern. The three legs are very ornate acanthus leaves curled up at the ends. The wrought Iron has twists and scrolls leading up to the the main bowl that holds the font. There is ornate brass work directly under the bowl as well as the top of the font. The lamp measures 27 1/2" tall with the shade and chimney in place. 11" at it's widest point. The shade has minimal roughness and small chips at the fitter which is to be expected. There are a few scratches in the frosted areas of the shade, But nothing you wouldn't expect of a lamp this age. The Iron work on the base of the lamp is of a high quality craftsmanship and was most likely a high end lamp in it's time. This is in excellent working order.
