The included Colt factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, barrel length, and nickel finish with the type of stocks not listed. The revolver was shipped to Folsom Brothers, New York City, New York, as part of a 4 gun shipment. Standard two line Hartford address barrel marking, with "COLT. D.A. 41" on the left side. The left side of the frame has the three line patent dates along with a circled Rampant Colt. Matching numbers on frame, trigger guard and back strap. Fitted with smooth ivory grips.

Condition: Fine. The revolver retains 60% original nickel finish with the balance a smooth gray patina with some minor blistering and some minor pitting. The shrunken grips are good with a long sliver of ivory missing on the left a panel at the rear, a few hairline cracks near the bottoms, and some chipping along the edges. The fine ivory grips have a smooth yellow aged color with a strong grain pattern. Mechanically fine.
