Antique Colt Early Open-Top Single Action Spurtrigger Pocket Revolver, #1334, .22 Short RF cal., 2-7/8'' round barrel with right-side ejector, blade front and (hammer notch) rear sights, has swiveling lower ''wedge'' for removal, marked with maker's name and address on top flanked by crosses; plain 7-shot round cylinder, brass open-top frame has integral trigger sheath and ''bird's head'' gripstraps with two-piece varnished walnut grips. Mfg'd early 1870s in blued finish with silver-plated frame. Condition is very good showing a smooth overall gunmetal gray, the barrel with good traces of original blue, the brass with smooth age patina. Grips are sound having minor use marks and most original varnish. Action is strong and smooth, bore shows scattered etching and good rifling. Est.: $500-$750. (Antique)(John Ackerman collection)
