This magnificent antique Colonial Revival dining set is believed to date from the 1890s and features an 8 foot long refectory or library style table, two upholstered armchairs and 6 upholstered side chairs. Table measures 95.75" long by 40.5" wide by 30.25 high. It features cross-grain sections at each end, mortise and tenon and dowel construction methods. Its shape is normally associated with the Colonial era and commonly referred to as a library table for its long length and center stretcher. Its square legs have cup and cover designs featuring heavy gadrooning on top and acanthus-type leaf designs on bottom. Table and chairs are all structurally sound, but a few chairs could use tightening. Chairs feature bright cream colored upholstery that's approximately 15 years old. Most seats have some degree of staining, and they would benefit from a thorough cleaning. New owner may wish to reupholster the set. Chairs are very comfortable.
