A Single and Rare, "Balusture" Shape Chinese Export Porcelain Vase, Circa 1755 to 1765, Decorated with scenes of Mandarins near a Pavilion in a Garden setting, further enhanced by a border of Rich Cobalt Blue with fine gilt work, and handles in the form of stylizied Dragons, the Finial on the lid takes the form of a Foo-Dog. In Excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. An Identical vase can be found in one of the Guest's Bed Rooms at Mount Vernon, Home of George Washington, and was listed in the inventories of the time.
