Antique Capodimonte-Style Wired Porcelain Looped Bowl with Applied Rose Bouquets

This antique Capodimonte-style wired porcelain looped bowl is dainty looking, yet strong! It may be as old as 150 years, according to my estimates. I call it Capodimonte style as, although the piece is marked "Italy", I cannot confirm that it is Capodimonte. However, it exhibits many of the aspects we have come to know from this venerated manufacturer.

This beige-white porcelain bowl is 8 inches in diameter, exclusive of the bunches of lovely light pink roses which, three-dimensional Capodimonte style, accent its scalloped edge. Each bunch extends 3/4 inches from its edge. The bowl itself is designed with a set of curves made from successive loops of wired porcelain successively interwoven, Capodimonte basket style, along its sides. At time to time, scallops scoop down and up, like banners, along these sides. There are eight scallops with the sets of rose bouquets separating one from the next. The bowl is footed, and is stamped "Italy" in the porcelain on the bottom. Overall, considering its age, it is in very good condition. There are no discernible breaks or chips in the porcelain athough there is, however, some paint wear and discoloration of part of the porcelain on the bottom due to age and handling.
