Fine antique Bennington ware milk pan with flint enamel glaze made by the Norton works, ca. 1850, Bennington, Vt. Large 10 in. diam. x 3 in. deep. Splendid condition with no cracks or repairs, only natural signs of use. Though pie plates are still common, most milk bowls such as this one were used to perdition and fine examples are no longer easily found. This has high glaze and beautiful creamy mottling in interesting formations. A prime piece for collectors of American pottery or antique kitchenware. Absolutely guaranteed by experts to be antique 19th C. Benningtonware.
