Antique Belguim 11 mm Revolver - Deactivated Military Issue

A very rare obsolete calibre Belgian Fagnus 6 shot double action 11mm revolver
circa 1880.
We believe this to be an Alexandre FAGNUS manufacturer. Made in Belgium, his
address was 9 str Célestines, Liege, Belgium c. 1861-1868.
Then became FAGNUS Alexandre & Co 1870-1879 31, street Jolivet, LIEGE and
finally became FAGNUS & CLEMENT also in Liege, c. 1879-1883.

The hexagonal steel barrel stamped "ACIER FONDU" - French for Cast Steel and
the serial number 15553
The left side of the revolver has a lever to allow the opening of the plate giving
access to the internal mechanism and the left grip which can also be lifted and
withdrawn without any tools, to access the main spring etc.
The butt fitted with a lanyard ring.

Liege proof mark to the rear of cylinder.

Gun has been deactivated with barrel filled and internals jambed.
