Interesting Antique Belgian Large-Bore 2-Barrel Percussion Howdah Pistol, #17, 16 bore/.66 cal., 6.25" fixed round barrels have repeating thin rows of diagonal lines imitating Damascus patterning, marked "5,5 gr. N.G.P. m/r/20gr. BL" at upper and "(crown)/U/21" Belgian proofs at lower breeches, sliding button-tip steel ramrod below; boxlock frame has twin hammers and triggers, separate loop trigger guard, long top tang, elongated 1-pc. ebonized hardwood grip with raised panels at either top side, oval brass buttcap and steel lanyard ring. Mfg'd ca. 1840s-60s. Condition is good retaining most original metal finish and sharp markings. Grip is sound and smooth showing scattered marks and a shallow chip at right butt. Actions are crisp, bores show general light-to-moderate erosion. Est.: $900-$1,200. (Antique)
