Featured for your enjoyment is a wonderful find for those interested in primitives. This is an old bee keeper's smoker. Used to settle the bees before harvesting the honey combs. This one is in magnificent condition! it has the original bellows completely intact! The wood front of the bellows has the maker advertising still plainly visible. It is made by the A. I. Root Co. The patent dates are from 9-22-'03 to 6-4-'0? Can't make out the last number. The leather in the bellow's sides is original. Cracking has occurred on both sides and a tad on the top. This is from people "trying it out". It is a wonderful find in such good condition. Stands 9" tall by 9 1/2" wide by 5" across. It could be hung by the loop at the top of the can or sat on a table for display.
