This industrial table is an early industrial piece. From the 1900's, it was used to make barrels. It is very heavy and solid oak with cast iron parts.

A lever can be pulled to one side to move the curved metal top pieces closer together. These pieces extend up 8 inches. This is where the barrels would be constructed and squeezed tight. There are metal supports on the base and chains and a metal bar hang below the base.

This is an interesting piece, old and rare that shows a unique part of American history. Just let me know and I can send you more pictures! Note: Height to wood part: 30", Height to metal part: 38".

Brought to you by Sand Hill East, 4th generation.
