This is a really interesting piece that was salvaged from an old building. Apparently this was part of the soffit, or hung from the soffit...I still can't quite picture how it did, or how it looked...but upside down from the way it is now used as a picture frame. Nevertheless, it makes a great looking frame, which now holds an old print just to show what it is and how it works. It is copper I believe, that has oxidized into wonderful colors of green, rose and brown. There is glass in it, but it doesn't have the little things on the back to hold a picture in, so you have to improvise. In this case, the print is scotch taped in, but someone handy with a drill could attach little pieces of metal to the back that are held on with little screws. I don't want to do that because it is a consigned piece. It measures 8" across and 9.5" high at the widest points. The stand has a split on the back side, but it doesn't effect the stability, and won't go any further unless you force it, because the copper is fairly thick. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. This is a unique piece, I doubt if you'll ever see another.
